Putting green was 15’x30’ – 450sq.ft

Surrounds were about 1000sq.ft

The client had recently purchased this home that had been owned by an elderly couple that loved to spend time gardening and tinkering.  The yard looked like it had minor but constant additions to it for about 20 years! There was shrapnel everywhere.  Scott’s team removed about 6 yards of rocks, stones, and pavers plus another 3 yards of soil.  Just before they were about to lay the turf they discovered unbeknownst to the client, his entire yard was a septic field.

Scott stated, “We decided to carry forward but used ultra base panels in lieu of gravel.  This provided the firm subbase for the putting green, but also did not add as much weight with more breathability than compacted gravel.”

This project dealt surprise after surprise including a buried tree stump, which was removed, a relocation of property line that required a new fence…and of course the septic field.  After about a month of picking away at it, the client is obviously very happy, we completed the project which now provides him accurate golf practice at home, increased aesthetics, and literally diminished any time spent maintaining his yard, while opening up his gorgeous view.
